Hi Thomas This may be an appropriate time to let you know that I have left Corel. Wednesday was my last day. While my heart is still with Ventura Publisher (and always will be) I have decided to part ways with Corel to pursue other interests. FYI ... I have left Corel on 'good terms'. They didn't have to drag me from the building kicking & screaming. :-) (although a certain collegue DID keep coming by my desk over the last week and kept kicking me in the behind .... I guess that's his was of saying he loves me!) :-) I'll be working for a company out of San Francisco called Bigwords.com. For now I'll be working out of Ottawa, but, will likely end up moving to SF within a year. As for me and Ventura Publisher ... as I said, it's still much a part of my life. I adore this product, and I plan to continue to visit the NG's and other forums to continue to participate with you all. In fact, you're likely to see more of me now than in the past ..... at least, that's my HOPE at this point. At the outset, I may be quiet for a few weeks as I'll be in SF from March 13th - 31st being trained on my new job. But once back in Ottawa, I plan to visit the groups on a regular basis ... likely from home in the evenings and weekends. Please note that I am not saying 'good-bye'. I'm not going anywhere ... just no longer an employee of Corel. As for your comments, Thomas' ... the only thing I can suggest is that you may want to pose them directly to Corel, e.g., to the Brand Manager (marketing) ... or even Michael Cowpland himself. Well ... I'd best sign off here. Please feel free to keep in touch with me using my personal e-mail account. Best regards Allan Shearer |
